Raw Food Diet Diary Day 10- May 2, 2007

8:00 AM- Woke up refreshed and snacked on apples. I am not in the mood for a heavy breakfast. The stuff I ordered yesterday already shipped out, which is suprising because I used the free super saver shipping method.

10:00 AM- Made my green smoothie of the day. I made it with less fruit today than I did yesterday because it was way too much to drink last time. Today it consisted of 2 bananas, 2 oranges, 3 tablespoons of wheatgrass powder, 1 tablespoon of alfalfa powder and 1 tablespoon of maca root. I think of my green smoothies as a gift to my unborn baby. The greens will ensure that he is getting plenty of amino acids, minerals and vitamins to grow well.

1:30 PM- I wanted to up my essential fatty acid intake so I am drinking a smoothie made of 3 bananas, hemp seeds and pumpkin seed butter. The hemp is full of Omega 3 fatty acids and the Pumpkin is full of Omega 6.

Here is another video I want to share with everyone. It is a trailer for a new documentary about people who have insulin dependent diabetes, who are taken and placed on a raw food diet for 30 days. They actually show how you can reverse diabetes with diet alone.

6:00 PM- Had another salad like we had last night. Lots of lettuce, peas, garlic, tomatoes, avocados, and a touch of italian dressing. Later on tonight I plan to have some Bruchetta spread on sprouted bread.

Today has been another success in my raw food diet journey. I am really enjoying the way I look and feel, which means alot considering I am in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy.

wow, what a great story. To be healed in 30 days of something that would eventually take their life. And all it took was what they were eating. Incredible!
